I said it would be someone else this week but seen as I attended the World Halal Food Festival (WHFF) this weekend just gone, it made sense for me to report back. 😊 (Riz)
So, we crawled in at 2.30am Monday morning (yikes) with the kids needing to go to school in a few hours and me back at work! Thankfully the girls got some sleep in the car, I didn’t, but I work from home so started my day a little later! What a weekend though?! We’re shattered, exhausted, tired (you get the gist)…but we felt so so honoured to have had the opportunity to launch at such a huge platform at WHFF 2023 surrounded by other much more experienced businesses! It's been an exhilarating journey filled with anticipation, hard work, and dedication, but here we are – a few days after the grand launch of our business! The days leading up to the launch were filled with graft and excitement and a hint of nervousness, but now that we’re back, I’m glad we did it! We got to meet some of you guys and got to share our story with you (some of you even bought 😊).
 
The Big Weekend
We arrived on Friday to unload the van and start the set up but believe it or not it was spitting in London so we held back on putting everything out just in case it was windy. The morning of the launch day was a whirlwind of activity. We arrived early to finish setting up our stall, it was pretty exciting to see the stall in its full glory with our branding. The enthusiasm and support from our friends, family, and even complete strangers was overwhelming. The initial moments were nerve-wracking, but as the weekend progressed, we found our rhythm and began to connect with potential customers.
Interacting with our first customers was a great experience. Their curiosity and genuine interest in our products validated our vision and the countless hours of work we had invested. We listened to their feedback and suggestions, which will be invaluable as we continue to grow and improve our offerings. The greatest feedback we received was around the product offering and branding, you guys loved it which reassures us that we’ve got a good brand and business :)
What's Next?
Now, as we reflect on our first week, we're filled with gratitude and determination. The support we've received from everyone has been amazing. IIn the coming weeks and months, we plan to expand our product line, reach out to more customers, and refine our business processes. We understand that the journey has just begun, and there's much more to learn and achieve.
Conclusion
One week after our business launch has been an incredible ride filled with ups and downs, but we wouldn't have it any other way. The satisfaction of seeing our dreams come to life and connecting with a community of supporters is priceless. With hard work, dedication, and a willingness to adapt, we're excited to see where this journey takes us.
